Polylack K – intumescent fire protection compound

mcr Polylack K is an intumescent compound that, when applied as a coating or filler, reacts to high temperatures by forming a thermo-insulating foamed carbon layer. This layer stops the combustion of polymer insulation at an early stage and prevents the spread of flames across the protected surface.

Applications

Fire-resistant sealing of wall and floor penetrations

  • Sealing penetrations of plastic pipes made of PVC-U, PVC-C, PE-HD, PE, ABS, SAN+PVC, PP-R.
  • Sealing penetrations of metal pipes made of steel, cast iron, and copper.
  • Sealing penetrations of insulated metal pipes (with combustible and non-combustible insulation).
  • Sealing penetrations of cables, cable bundles, and cable trays.
