Applications

In fire doors and fire protection installations

  • The mcr Sil-MU gasket is designed for use wherever reduced mechanical strength is acceptable – e.g., wooden, steel, and aluminum fire doors, fire doors for special applications, as well as in ventilation and smoke extraction ducts (for sealing inspection covers), cable ducts, and for sealing windows, façades, and other elements.

Features

Activates at temperatures between 100°C and 120°C, forming a rigid, non-combustible foam that provides a high level of thermal insulation. Expands in one direction to at least five times its initial thickness

The expansion pressure generated can reach up to 1.5 N/mm², providing an effective barrier against flames, smoke, and hot gases along the element perimeter where the gasket is installed.
